Four Great Races – One Beautiful Island
May 13th – Fort 2 Fort
The 2023 Fort2Fort Five Mile Challenge will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, beginning with the sound of the musket at 9:00 am. This year there will be a traditional mass start inside Fort Mackinac, with runners and walkers travelling through the Sally Port gate to the racecourse ahead. All proceeds help support the Mackinac Historic State Parks!

June 10th – Lilac 10k Run & Walk
Join us for the 75th annual Lilac 10k by racing across the island and down by the shoreline! If you’ve got younger kids, the Lil’ Lilac Kids Run is available for them.
September 9th – Mackinac Island Eight Mile
You will experience Mackinac Island in one of the oldest and most scenic races in Michigan. The Island is a unique destination that can only be reached by ferry. Step back in time to a bygone era where travel is done by foot, bicycle, carriage or horse. With almost 2,000 runners and walkers, this is definitely a race you and your family will never forget.
October 28th – Great Turtle Trail Run
This year marks the 27th running of one of the most scenic trail events in the state. We have a capacity of 2,500 participants running and walking the inside trails of Mackinac Island during the last open weekend of the season.
